After doing a 3 year diploma in cinema with specialization in editing at Film and Television Institute of India Rajkumar tried his luck as a film editor for many years. Bad experiences forced him to shift to advertising. Gradually he established himself as a director and producer of advertising films.

While 3 Idiots minted close to Rs 203 crores, his movie PK had a worldwide collection of Rs 800 crores. His latest movie Sanju entered the 200+ crore club.
