The epitome of elegance and grace, Sushmita Sen is considered the Ultimate Diva of Bollywood.
Sushmita Sen holds the distinction of being the first Indian to be crowned as 'Miss Universe' just at the age of 18.
Her journey as an actress started with the film Dastak in 1996 followed by the Tamil musical Ratchagan opposite Nagarjuna which went on to become a huge hit.
She also got highly recognised for her role in Sirf Tum.
Sushmita has made a mark in the industry by acting in movies like Aankhen, Main Hoon Na and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. She received critical acclaim for her female-oriented roles in films such as Filhaal and Samay.
Apart from being an actor, Sushmita is a philanthropist who runs her own charitable foundation called 'I Am She'. The former Miss Universe is associated with organizations like RNAF for educating and enhancing the artistic caliber of underprivileged children.
She inspired many single women by adopting her first daughter Renee just at the age of 25 in 2000 and then Alisah in 2010 and has often been praised for raising her daughters well.
She was chosen to select the Indian representatives for Miss Universe and her project, 'I Am She – Miss Universe India' ran from 2011 to 2012.

Sushmita Sen won the Filmfare Award for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her role in Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor’s Biwi No 1 in 1999.
She was highly appreciated for her refined performance in the Emmy nominated Netflix series Aarya where she has been portrayed as a fearless mother.
She won the ‘Women of Substance’ Award in 2018.
Sushmita Sen has also won the National Award for ‘Social welfare and Women Empowerment’ in 2021.
