About
Vinay Pathak, a noted theater & film actor, is well known for his comic timing & humorous roles in a number of films & plays.
While studying at State University of New York at Stony Brook, Vinay received many acting roles. With small roles in comedies Khosla Ka Ghosla and Bheja Fry his work was appreciated.
In 1999, he played the role of Vinny in the television series Hip Hip Hurray. He also produced the film Dasvidaniya, a story of a common man bidding farewell before dying.
Vinay anchored a show OYE with his friend and actor Ranvir Shorey. They together also hosted Ranvir Vinay Aur Kaun? as well as House Arrest, Duniya Goal Hain and Cricket Crazy.
He teamed up with his friends Ranvir Shorey, Suresh Menon, and Gaurav Gera to be a part of a gag-based show The Great Indian Comedy Show.
Vinay has also acted in the movies Johnny Gaddaar, Aaja Nachle , Khoya Khoya Chand. He has also acted in Shah Rukh Khan starrers ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ & ‘My Name is Khan’.
Vinay has also acted alongside various superstars in movies like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Aaja Nachle, Badlapur, Ramprasad ki Tehrvi and Luka Chhupi to name a few.

- Best Actor in a Comic Role at Apsara Guild Awards and Zee Cine Award for Best Comic Actor for his role in Bheja Fry, 2008.
He won the Star Gold Comedy Honors for Rising Actor with Comic Excellence in 2008.
FOI Online Awards for Best Performance by an Ensemble Cast in Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi.
