Javed Ali

A playback singer with a discography that spans over a hundred films and all of the country's major film industries, Javed Ali came into the spotlight when his performance of ‘Jashn-E-Bahaara’ in the historical romance film ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ earned him an IIFA Award for Best Male Playback Singer. 

Javed's versatile voice effortlessly traverses genres, allowing him to masterfully deliver romantic ballads, peppy tracks, and even sufi-inspired compositions with equal finesse.

Over the years, Javed Ali's collaborations with prominent music composers and lyricists have yielded unforgettable hits, including ‘Kun Faya Kun’ from ‘Rockstar,’ ‘Ishaqzaade’ from the movie of the same name, and ‘Tum Tak’ from ‘Raanjhanaa.’ 

Beyond his playback singing, Javed Ali's involvement in reality shows like ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ and ‘Jhoom India’ showcased his talent to a wider audience, earning him admiration for his humility and talent. He appeared as a judge on the TV reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Low Champs’, 2011 on Zee TV & hosted ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ in 2012.

Ali was also nominated for a Screen Award for the ‘Best Male Playback Singer’ for his performance of the title track from the film ‘Ishaqzaade’ (2012). 

He has received many awards & accolades for his contribution to the music industry. On 15 August 2016, he performed at the Headquarters of the United Nations with maestro AR Rahman to celebrate India's 70th Independence Day.
