Rahul Vaidya instantly shot to fame after his performances as a participant and a finalist on the popular TV singing reality show Indian Idol in 2004 on Sony TV.
He had a musical leaning from an early age and was trained under famous Indian singers Suresh Wadkar and Padma Wadkar. He took part in several reality television shows when he was young and also recorded commercials and jingles. He also won the title of ‘Aao Jhoomein Gaayen’ in 2005, a singing competition organised by Zee TV.
After his Indian Idol stint, in 2005 he released his debut album, Tera Intezar, for which Sajid-Wajid composed the music.
He has worked as a playback singer in Bollywood films such as Shaadi No. 1, Jaan-E-Mann, and Krazzy 4. He sang the unplugged version of Be Intehaan from Race 2.
Rahul won the title of Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar, a reality singing show and was a part of the winning team on Music Ka Maha Muquabla on Star Plus. He has sung the title song for the TV serial Ek Ladki Anjaani Si on Sony TV.
In 2009, Rahul served as a radio host for Big FM 92.7 where he hosted the top 50 song countdown show Jhakkas Pachas.
Rahul has hosted TV reality shows like Jhoom India in 2007 and Aajaa Mahi Vay in 2008.
His notable Hindi music albums as a singer include Fan, Vande Mataram, Do Chaar Din and Keh Do Na.
Rahul has also been a contestant on TV reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Bigg Boss 14 and Fear Factor : Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.
Rahul has won many accolades in singing and is one of the most sought-after live performers in the social event circuit. He has done several live concerts in India and internationally. He is known for his energetic and engaging stage presence, and his fans love him for his ability to connect with them through his music.
