A renowned Stand- up Comedian from India today, Suresh Albela came into the limelight after winning the contest ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 4’ in 2008.
Suresh spent his childhood and early years of adulthood in the small town of Kota in Rajasthan. It was only when he was selected to participate in the TV show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 4’ did he step out of his village and go to the city of Mumbai. In 2008, he was announced the winner of the show by Navjot Singh Sidhu and Shatrughan Sinha.

Suresh has done a number of TV shows including ‘Dekh India Dekh’ and ‘Comedy Circus’ for Sony TV; ‘Pratha – Ek Prem Kahani’ for Colors Channel and ‘Narsi Ki Dhun Par Baje Muraliya’ for Star TV. He has also appeared on the show India’s Laughter Champion on Sony TV as the Laughter Sarpanch.
Suresh has a passion for poetry and has written and published many poems. He has participated in many Kavi Sammelan events. Audiences still remember his signature clapping style. He even writes his own comedy scripts.
He is a popular choice for traditional Kavi Sammelan shows as well as solo stand up shows for live events across the country.
