Sushant Divgikar, also known by his drag persona Rani Ko-HE-Nur, is a multifaceted individual excelling as a model, actor, singer, columnist, drag queen, pageant director, and video jockey. In July 2014, Divgikar was crowned Mr Gay India 2014 and represented India at Mr. Gay World 2014, where he made history by winning a record three individual sub-titles and two group sub-titles, a first for any delegate. Sushant’s presence and success in these competitions have earned him a significant place in the LGBTQ+ community.
Sushant’s television career began with UTV Bindass's ‘Big Switch’ Season 3, directed by Rohit Shetty, and he later hosted ‘Atyachaar Ka Punchnama’ for the same channel. He gained further recognition as a contestant on Colors TV's ‘Bigg Boss 8’.
In 2018, Sushant made history again in his drag persona Rani Ko-HE-Nur by becoming the first drag queen in India to participate in a singing reality show and win the golden buzzer on ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, advancing directly to the top 15. In 2021, he competed in the international drag singing competition ‘Queen of the Universe’, which premiered in 2021.
Throughout his career, Sushant has worked with leading broadcasting channels, agencies, and production houses both nationally and internationally, featuring in television shows and commercials for major brands like Maruti Suzuki, MTV India, Channel V India, and Idea Mobiles.
