Madhur Virli

About
Madhur Virli is a Delhi-based stand-up comedian and writer known for his sharp, unfiltered humor and calm stage presence. An IIT Delhi graduate, he often draws from his engineering journey, family life, and personal setbacks to build long-form stories that feel honest and unpretentious.
Madhur was raised by a single mother after losing his father early in life - an experience that shapes much of his material. He entered comedy through college open mics at IIT Delhi in 2018 and slowly moved from classroom stages to full-length solo shows.
His breakout came through viral videos such as “Worst Fight With GF” and his debut 70-minute stand-up special “The IIT Dream” (2024).
Madhur is also known for hosting “Madhur Model,” a format inspired by Kill Tony, where he invites comics to perform short sets and gives them blunt feedback.
On stage, he gravitates toward darker themes - grief, relationships, mental health, and middle-class pressure - and presents them with dry wit rather than loud theatrics. As of 2026, he performs across major comedy venues in India and continues to build a strong online following through his main channel and his experimental channel “Madhur Virli - RAW.”
