Raghu Ram gained widespread fame as the anchor and director of MTV Roadies, originally aired in 2003. An Indian Television presenter, producer, and actor, Raghu is renowned for supervising popular shows such as MTV Love Line, featuring VJs Malaika Arora and Cyrus Broacha, and later spearheading MTV Select and MTV Super Select with VJ Nikhil Chinapa.
As the popularity of Roadies soared, MTV moved the production in-house and appointed Raghu and Rajiv, his twin brother, as the producers and anchors. Under their production, the show became a popular reality series resonating with a broad audience, making it the longest-running reality show on Indian television.
Beyond Roadies, Raghu also launched and produced MTV Splitsvilla in 2008. In addition to his television career, Raghu ventured into acting, appearing in Bollywood films like ‘Tees Maar Khan’ (2010) alongside Akshay Kumar and ‘Jhoota Hi Sahi’ with John Abraham, the latter earning him critical acclaim.
He also showcased his musical talents, being nominated for the Best Singer Award at the GIMA Awards in 2012 for his song ‘Manmani’. Raghu's creative pursuits extended to writing as well, with his autobiography ‘Rearview: My Roadies Journey’ published in 2013, offering insights into his professional journey and personal reflections.
