An industry champion, entrepreneur, author, and thought leader, Pramod Bhasin is one of the pioneers who steered India’s rise as a knowledge economy.
Pramod spent 25 years in General Electric(GE) in tenures spanning across the US, Europe & Asia. He was the head of GE Capital in India and has built a business from the ground up, inking strategic partnerships for the growth of the business.
In 1997, Pramod founded Genpact, formerly GE Capital International Services, and set the ball rolling for the concept of business process management not just in India, but also in China, Eastern Europe & Latin America.
Under his aegis, today Genpact is recognized as the pioneer in its industry with more than 55,000 employees across 17 countries. He stepped back from his position as the President & CEO of Genpact to take on a mentoring role as its Vice Chairman in 2011.
In 2016, Pramod along with partners acquired the businesses of GE Capital in India, now known as Clix Capital.
He is the Chairman of Clix Capital, which is a broad based NBFC, focused on providing digital platforms and financial services to commercial companies and consumers across India.
Pramod founded the Skills Academy, which focuses on providing vocational skills for the underprivileged principally in smaller towns and villages which is operated in over 15 states. The academy has trained over 50,000 students and placed a majority of them in jobs, post training.
He is also the co-founder of Asha Impact, a virtual fund focused on social impact investments and advocacy.
Pramod serves on the Boards of DLF Ltd, SRF Ltd, and NDTV and is also on the governing board of ICRIER, Help Age, and The Shri Ram School. He has been the Chairman of NASSCOM.
Pramod is a strategic advisor to Kedaara, a leading private equity firm in India, and is a member of TIE-NCR. He is also a member of the advisory board for Cisco in India.

- Pramod Bhasin received the ‘Lifetime Contribution Award’ and Genpact was named the ‘Global Shared Services Leader of the Year’ by the International Quality and Productivity Center at the Shared Services and Outsourcing Global Conclave in 2007.
- Bhasin was voted ‘IT Man of the Year’ by Dataquest in 2009.
- Genpact was listed on the New York Stock Exchange under Pramod’s leadership in 2007.
