Amit Trivedi

Amit Trivedi, an acclaimed music composer & singer, rose to fame after he debuted as a film composer for ‘Aamir’ in 2008 & then ‘Dev D’ in 2009.  

He is a music director, performer, and lyricist from India who has worked on Hindi and Telugu films. He has sung some superhit songs like ‘Jugni’, ‘Love you Zindagi’, ‘Naina Da Kya Kasoor’ and many more. 

Some popular Bollywood songs by him include ‘Nayan Tarse’ from ‘Dev D’, ‘Gubbare’ from Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, ‘Manjha’ from ‘Kai Po Che!’, ‘Ud-daa Punjab’ from ‘Udta Punjab’ & many more. 

He has won numerous prestigious awards, including the ‘National Film Award’ for ‘Best Music Direction’, ‘Filmfare RD Burman Award’ for ‘New Music Talent’ and  Filmfare Award for ‘Best Background Score’ for ‘Dev D’. 

He composed a nation song incorporating all his popular genres & celebrating unity through an amalgamation of folk music from different states of the nation at the ‘Mirchi Music Awards’ held in 2017. Later, the video & song became viral online. 

Amit Trivedi has also won an award at the Giffoni Film Festival, which is a popular music festival in the world and has shared the stage alongside Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Ritviz and The Local Train.

Amit is a great live performer and has performed at events like the OnePlus Music Festival, sharing a stage with artists such as Katy Perry and  Dua Lipa. He has also performed at the ‘Coke Studio’ concert in Bangalore. He is a master at fusing the classical with western. His innovative vision and versatility by scoring qawwali-style songs and folk-fusion is reflected through his music.
