Badshah

Badshah is the true representative of Rap on the Hindi-Punjabi music scene, successfully bringing the punch of Hip Hop to Bollywood with his foot tapping party number ‘Abhi toh Party Shuru Hui Hai’ from the movie Khoobsurat.

He is the only Indian artist with more than 17 songs with over 200 million plus views on YouTube. Within 24 hours of its release, his debut single, ‘DJ Waley Babu’ featuring Aastha Gill, reached number one on the Indian iTunes charts. Within 30 hours, the song had over a million views on YouTube. 

He has dominated the Punjab music scene ever since his breakthrough track ‘Saturday Saturday’ from the movie ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ in 2014 marked his entry into Bollywood. 

This was followed by a string of chart-topping singles, including ‘Genda Phool,’ ‘Voodoo’, ‘Paagal’, Kala Chashma,’ ‘Kar Gayi Chull,’ and ‘DJ Waley Babu,’ which catapulted him to mainstream success.

He has four albums to his credit and has worked with leading artists from across the country to produce brilliant, chart-topping hits. Apart from music, Badshah has also made appearances in several Indian reality TV shows, including `Dil Hai Hindustani` and `Khatron Ke Khiladi`, and appeared as a judge on the rap reality show `MTV Hustle 2.0`, India`s Got Talent.

In 2017, 2018, and 2019, he was named to Forbes India's Celebrity 100 as one of the highest-paid celebrities in India, and he was the only rapper on the list.
