Lucky Ali

Lucky Ali, who etched his name as a maestro of heartfelt melodies made his debut on the Indian music scene with the soulful album, ‘Sunoh’, which established him as an independent singer . The song ‘O Sanam’ from the album became an instant sensation, earning Lucky Ali several awards including the ‘Best Pop Male Vocalist’ at the 1996 Screen Awards & the Channel V Viewer’s Choice Award in 1997.

He introduced a smooth and easygoing style of music that resonated with a mature audience seeking relaxed tunes. His deep, husky voice combined with heartfelt lyrics struck a chord with young adults who were looking for something different from the trendy and superficial music of that time.

His big break in Bollywood came through with the popular song, ‘Na Tum Jaano Na Hum’ from Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai in 2000 for which he received the Filmfare Award for ‘Best Male Playback Singer’. 

His song ‘Aa Bhi Ja’ from ‘Sur’ in 2003 also received much critical acclaim. He has lent his voice to films like ’Bachna Ae Haseeno’,  ‘Anjaana Anjaani’,  ‘Tamasha’ and more. 

Lucky has worked with composers like A.R Rahman, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Vishal-Shekhar & has acted in Bollywood films like ‘Kaante’ & ‘Sur’.
