Babbal Rai is a Punjabi singer, lyricist, and actor who rose to fame after he uploaded his singing ‘Australian Challa’ which made him a YouTube sensation overnight.
He made his debut with the album ‘Saau Putt’ which brought him into the limelight in the Punjabi music industry and his song ‘Nikki Jehi Jind’ from the album was a huge hit.
In 2012, he released his single track ‘Sohni’ by speed records and the song was an instant hit followed by the songs ‘Taur’ and ‘Tere Naam’.
He sang his first playback song for Jimmy Shergill’s Punjabi film ‘Rangeelay’ and started his film career with a special guest appearance in the Punjabi Film ‘Singh vs Kaur’ in 2013 starring Gippy Grewal.
In 2014 he released his second album ‘Girlfriend’ under the label Speed Records in which the tracks like ‘Yaarian’, ‘Tere Layi’, ‘Tuttian’, ‘Jattan da Munda’ helped him gain immense success.
