The creative genius behind some iconic ad campaigns, Pulse Polio’s ‘Do Boond Zindagi Ke’, Cadbury’s ‘Pappu Paas Hogaya’, and Asian Paint’s ‘Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai’, to name a few, Piyush Pandey's illustrious journey in the advertising industry spanning four decades is nothing short of inspiring. Marked by a relentless pursuit of creativity and excellence, Piyush joined Ogilvy in 1982 as a client servicing executive, and swiftly ascended through the ranks, showcasing his talent and passion for crafting compelling narratives. 

Piyush’s debut as an ad writer with the iconic Sunlight Detergent print ad foreshadowed the brilliance to come, setting the stage for a career adorned with numerous accolades and groundbreaking campaigns.

Transitioning to the creative department after six years, Piyush's creative genius flourished, giving birth to unforgettable advertisements such as Luna moped, Fevicol, BrookeBond Red Label, and more. 

Piyush’s visionary leadership propelled Ogilvy India to unprecedented heights, earning it the distinction of being ranked as the No.1 Agency for 12 consecutive years in independent surveys.

Piyush's impact extended beyond national borders, as evidenced by his historic appointment as the first jury President from Asia at the prestigious Cannes Lions Festival. His contributions to the advertising landscape were further recognized with a nomination to the Ogilvy Worldwide board in 2006.

In September 2023, Ogilvy announced a significant leadership transition, with Piyush gracefully stepping down to assume the role of Chief Advisor.

Piyush was voted ‘Asia’s Creative Person of the Year’ at the Media Asia Awards in 2002. 

During his tenure, O&M India won 25 lions at Cannes. In 2002, he won India’s first ‘Silver Pencil’ at The One Show Awards. He also received a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in 2010 from the Advertising Agencies Association of India. 

Piyush was invited to be a jury member at the Clio Awards 2000 & the Cannes Film Festival  2002.  He was the judge at the 2007 Asia Pacific Advertising Festival Awards.

Piyush is the only Indian to win a double gold at Cannes for his anti-smoking campaign for the Cancer Patients Association & a triple grand prize at the London International Awards.
